Description
Pamukkale from the air is a different place: the travertines read as one long white spill down the hillside, the pools catch the early light, and the ruins of Hierapolis spread out behind them. Flights here are quieter and less crowded than Cappadocia, and the terraces are close enough to pick out the paths.
The morning starts early with a pick-up from your hotel. The pilots check conditions and choose the launch point by wind direction rather than flying from a fixed field, so you drive to the spot and watch the balloon inflate.
