Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, your private transfer will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or start exploring Istanbul on your own. Settle into your hotel and prepare for the adventures ahead. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2 — Istanbul Old City Tour
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel for a full-day tour of Istanbul's historic peninsula. Visit the ancient Roman Hippodrome and admire the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque) with its magnificent six minarets and blue İznik tiles. Continue to the exterior of Hagia Sophia, the iconic 6th-century Byzantine masterpiece. Next, explore Topkapi Palace, the lavish residence of Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years, including the famous Harem section with its ornate chambers. After a traditional Turkish lunch, browse the legendary Grand Bazaar, one of the world's oldest and largest covered markets with over 4,000 shops. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Day 3 — Bosphorus Tour & Flight to Cappadocia
After breakfast, begin the day at the colorful Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar), filled with aromatic spices, Turkish delight, and teas. Then board a scenic Bosphorus cruise, sailing between Europe and Asia while admiring waterfront palaces, historic fortresses, and wooden Ottoman mansions. After disembarking, see the iconic Galata Tower exterior and stroll down the famous Istiklal Avenue through the historic Pera district. Discover the vibrant Fener-Balat neighborhoods, known for their colorful houses and rich Greek and Jewish heritage. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, transfer to your cave hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia cave hotel.
Day 4 — North Cappadocia Tour
Early morning optional hot air balloon ride over the stunning fairy chimney landscape (additional cost, reservation required in advance). After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of North Cappadocia. Visit Paşabağ (Monks Valley) with its remarkable mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. Continue to Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley) with its surreal animal-shaped rock formations. Stop in Avanos, famous for its traditional pottery workshops dating back to Hittite times. Visit Uçhisar Castle, the highest point in Cappadocia with panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. End the day at the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open Air Museum, an incredible complex of rock-cut churches and monasteries with stunning Byzantine frescoes from the 10th-12th centuries. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Return to your cave hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia cave hotel.
Day 5 — South Cappadocia Tour & Flight to Istanbul
After breakfast, explore South Cappadocia. Start at the Love Valley and Göreme Panorama viewpoint for breathtaking views of the fairy chimney landscape. Continue to the dramatic Red and Rose Valleys, known for their spectacular colors at different times of day. Visit the ancient village of Çavuşin with its early Christian basilica. Descend into one of Cappadocia's fascinating underground cities, carved deep into the earth as shelters by early Christians. End at Pigeon Valley, named for the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rock faces, offering stunning views of Uçhisar Castle. Lunch is included. In the evening, transfer to Kayseri or Nevşehir airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Transfer to your Istanbul hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 6 — Free Day in Istanbul
Enjoy a free day to explore Istanbul at your own pace. You might visit the modern neighborhoods of Kadiköy on the Asian side, explore the trendy cafés and art galleries of Beyoğlu, shop in the boutiques of Nişantaşı, or simply relax by the Bosphorus. Your guide can recommend great restaurants, hidden gems, and local experiences. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 7 — Departure
